Day 1. Arrival to Zvartnots airport in Yerevan.

Late breakfast. Visit Matenadaran, Research Institute of Ancient Manuscripts. (Food, salt-cellars, Armenian oven for baking lavash bread – tonir, herbal medicine). Walk in the heart of the city, Cascade and Cafesjian Center of Contemporary Art, Opera and ballet state theater with its unique architecture. Lunch at Megerian Carpet restaurant where Chef Artavazd Sarukhanyan will host a master class. Visit Erebuni archeological museum and castle / 782 B.C./, where you will be introduced to the Urartian cuisine, winemaking and beer production. Dinner and overnight in Yerevan.

Day 2. Edjmiatsin – Yereruyk – Gusanagyugh - Gyumri

Departure to the Holy See St. Ejmiatsin. Afterwards drive to Yereruyk basilica. Village Gusanagyugh and the studio of visual artist Hakob Hovhannisyan and the art class “Suns of Gusana”. Lunch in a warm and hospitable rural environment. Arrival to Gyumri: City tour. The art of food at Berlin Art Hotel.

Day 3. Marmashen – Gyumri – Fish restaurant

Drive to one of the architectural pearls of Shirak region – Marmashen monastic complex (10-11 centuries). The secrets of the traditional Armenian barbecue. Meeting with the artist at the studio. Dinner at “Cherkezi Dzor” fish farm and restaurant.

Day 4. Alaverdi – Haghpat

Trip to Alaverdi. Lunch. Haghpat UNESCO world heritage monastery complex. Dinner and master class by Chef Armen Kefilyan at hotel Qefo in village Haghpat.

Day 5. Dilijan – Sevan - Tsaghkunq

Drive to the Lake Sevan. On the way stop in Dilijan. Lunch at restaurant “Kchuch” with unique traditional cuisine, delicious food and cozy atmosphere. Lake Sevan and Sevanavank monastery on the peninsula. Master class and dinner by Chef Yura Sargsyan at guesthouse “Tsaghkunq”. Overnight in village Tsaghkunq.

Day 6. Noraduz – Selim – Zorats Karer - Goris

Visit to Noraduz cemetery of cross-stones (9-15th cc.), where samples of unique cross-cut monuments can be found. Selim Pass and the caravanserai (14th c.), one of the best examples of a medieval caravanserai. Dinner in Vayk (Restaurant “Hunter”). Zorats Karer or Karahunj ancient observatory. Arrival to Goris. Dinner and overnight at hotel “Mirhav”.

Day 7. Khndzoresk - Goris

Trip to Khndzoresk, a cave dwelling, with its long history and interesting lifestyle. Lunch at Alvard’s hospitable family in Goris, with a big variety of interesting dishes, specific for the region. We will reach Tatev monastery complex (9-15th cc.) via the world’s longest cable car. Dinner and overnight in Goris.

Day 8. Noravank – Tolma Festival – Taperakan - Yerevan

Trip to Noravank monastery. Tasting traditional cake – Gata, baked in oven. Trip to Ararat valley and participation in the annual Tolma festival in village Hnaberd. Village Taperakan, wine and brandy tasting. Arrival to Yerevan. Free evening.

Day 9. Garni – Geghard – Yerevan

Trip to Garni, the only pagan temple in the region of God Mihr. Master class of preparing Armenian bread – lavash (UNESCO list). Afterwards, visit monastery complex Geghard and tasting the famous gata, prepared with ancient traditions. Return to Yerevan. Dinner at “Ararat Hall” restaurant where Sedrak Mamulyan, the President of the Chef’s Union of Armenia will introduce you to the Armenian cuisine.

Day 10. Transfer to Zvartnots airport. Departure.
